The words
Close your eyes. You don't have to keep watch tonight. I will. I saw you check the locks twice.
You've been lying here holding everyone you love in your mind, as if letting go would make them fall. They won't fall.
I do not slumber. I do not sleep. Every hour of this night, I am here. So close your eyes.
A verse to hold on to
“Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
Psalm 121:4 (KJV)
